Thursday 15 September 2022

Chair Person: Petra Agthe

09.25-10.30 Workshop: Mindfulness for busy Radiologists - Petra Agthe
Ticketed (60 people)

Mindfulness is sometimes seen as a fluffy / new age concept without relation to the daily life of most people, although there is now a strong body of evidence demonstrating its benefits such as improved wellbeing, increased attention control and executive function, as well as higher self-awareness and emotion regulation.

This workshop is for both people who are unfamiliar with mindfulness practice and / or are sceptic about its potential, and already ‘converted’ mindfulness practitioners. Petra will lead this session, which will provide an introduction into mindfulness including some simple practical exercises. There will also be the opportunity to share experiences and discuss potential applications in imaging practice, which may help you to better concentrate on your job as radiologist, enjoy it more and see your job from a healthy perspective. No previous knowledge is assumed and all levels of experience are welcome!
