Today it's all about the fine arts- Basel is home to over 40 museums, so you'll be spoilt for choice! Ranging from architecture, contemporary art, natural history to mechanical music, cartoon, pharmacy and even funerary culture. Take your pick and delve in!
I hope you enjoyed the boat trip- Welcome to Kleinbasel! What used to be the working class district has morphed into the city's bon vivant area- with an endless variety of restaurants, shops and cafes in its historic streets. Take a stroll!
🔔Ahoi, dear EVDI Participant! You'll find the city Basel is divided by the river Rhine- which we now need to cross io. to get to "Kleinbasel", where the Congress Center is located. Alternatively to using one of the bridges, simply ring the bell for the historic Minster Ferry!
Assuming you are still full of energy, we stop first at the Basel Minster to admire the city's landmark with its red sandstone architecture, coloured roof tiles and two refined steeples. Relax in the cloister garden or have a coffee on the Münsterplatz before we move on!
Now that you have safely arrived, dear visitor, let's take a stroll through town to the Congress Center. If you feel too tired, hop on the typical green tramway, one of the city's symbols to get to our meeting's venue. Tomorrow is another day to discover the city!
