Antonella is an EBVS recognised European specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging working as Associate Professor and Clinical Radiologist in the UCD Veterinary Teaching Hospital where her workload is divided between academic duties in the school and clinical responsibilities in the University Veterinary Hospital, perfectly blending her passion for diagnostic imaging with her dedication to provide the best possible tertiary learning experience for our undergraduate and graduate students in lectures and during their clinical rotations.

She was awarded the Certificate in Veterinary diagnostic imaging from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (2005); the Diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging from the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (2006); the Professional Diploma in University teaching and learning (2019) and the Diploma in Innovation and Creativity for Entrepreneurial Educators by UCD Innovation Academy (2023).

She is the current President of the European Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (EAVDI).

Antonella is currently registered for a PhD on the use of Mixed Reality for teaching veterinary radiography.
