Guidelines

Please make sure to read the below guidelines carefully before submission!

- Abstracts should not have been published or presented at an international meeting prior to submission.
- Projects must have followed approved ethical guidelines.
- Abstracts can be submitted as: oral presentation (if rejected poster possible) and poster presentation (if accepted oral possible).
- Length: 250 words excluding title, authors and affiliation.
- Title: Left justified, bold, in capital letters.
- Authors: Left justified, not bold, initials and last name, no degrees/qualifications/titles/etc.
- Affiliations: Left justified, not bold, consisting of University/Institution/Company, Department, Country.
- Please start each new affiliation on a separate line.

- Please make sure to provide the number of subjects as appropriate in the material and methods and / or in the result section.

Figures
- Authors are encouraged to submit One figure including a legend. The Figure can have up to three panes and can be diagnostic images, photographs, and / or graphs. Please submit figures in PNG format.
- Figures will assist the reviewers in the selection process and will be included in the proceedings

- Please note, figures cannot be included in the abstracts published in VRU, therefore they should not be referred to in the abstract.

Ethical guidelines
- Please make sure to read, fill out and upload the Statement of Animal Use and Disclosure Form, during your abstract submission.

- EVDI reserves the right to reject any abstracts not meeting the above criteria, where the Scientific Committee deems an ethical review essential but adequate proof of ethical review is not provided.

Authors affiliation
- Please check the author details and affiliation carefully before submission.
- EVDI will not allow any changes to these details or the submitted abstract itself after submission has been completed.

Authors need to follow a standard outline including:
- Introduction / Purpose must provide a clear background to the study
- Methods must provide a clear description of the project - Results must clearly state the findings of the project, pending results will not be accepted.
- Discussion/Conclusion must outline the meaning of the results in a wider context.

Example of the abstract text lay-out:


Introduction:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat.

Methods:

Results:

Discussion/Conclusions:
